Buffalo Thunder: Lanham, MD

The Buffalo Thunder event in Lanham, MD, it was a (2) day ride up and (2) day ride back, going up, we arrived early for our stay over in Fayetteville, NC and ate dinner with BSMC South Florida. The next morning there was an accident on I-95 just outside of Ruther Glen, VA so we took Hwy 301 to Hwy 5 into Maryland it was a very scenic route. 

Once at the hotel we took over the lobby and enjoyed the Meet & Greet, Hospitality Room and the host hotel had a senior citizen nightclub which everyone enjoyed. We attended the picnic, later that evening we had dinner at  Seafood/Soul Food restaurant, the food was off da chain. 

The Sunday parade was very well attended and welcomed by the people of DC as they came out of their churches and their homes to cheer us on. For the parade we had to separate into (2) groups for the parade, trikes and (2) wheelers.  After the parade we as a group met up on Hwy 5 just outside of Clinton, MD about 14 miles outside of DC. We formed up again and started the trek back home, that’s when the rain showed up and rode with us off/on all the way to Florence, SC, where we spent the night. 

The ride back on Monday was looking like the rain wanted to ride with us again, but it stayed back, and it was a sunny ride back home with no rain.
