Shop with a Soldier was awesome and another one for the record books. The weather was a bit chilly for Central Florida standards,
however it warmed up nicely. As the Soldiers arrived to our meeting location area "Target" they noticed that there were cars, buses and vans loaded with wide eyed kids ready to start shopping in the
parking lot. After a brief briefing with the Soldiers, family members, friends and prayer, we were ready to shop.
The doors were open by our Gatekeeper "Spurz", into our processing team DJ Man and Blaque Beauty. Once the participants enter the double doors, they were greeted by Lady T.
Lady T assigned each child to an awaiting Soldier with shopping chart in hand. This was a full production in motion as well as a well oiled machine.
As promised, Commissioner Uribe and her assistant arrived to lend a much needed helping hand. Thankfully, she was their to assist three of the non-English speaking participating kids. There were
lot's of smiles, laughter and eyerolling Soldiers as some of them went from one end of the store to the other several times!!!
Once the participating awardees finished their shopping, it was on to the cash registers. Awaiting with gift cards in hand Negotiator, Baz and Baby Girl ready and willing to cash them out. Now for
the fun and most rewarding part of the morning. The picture taking moment with Soldier Girl (The Good Elf) and Hotshot (The Bad Elf)!!! ?
I would like to personally thank all of the Soldiers, family members and friends that had the hardest job shopping with the kids!!! I'm sure as always this can be the most painful and most rewarding
job of all. Many thanks again for being who you are and doing what you do!!! It would be remised of me if I didn't mention Candy Apple for all she does in front and behind the seen. Thank you so
much.
